Hi everyone...
I wanted to thank all of you who sent best wishes and speedy recovery messages during my illness. It's seems that growing wiser and older is not a graceful event. While I had many moments of quiet time during my illness is afforded me the opportunity to take stock in the life I have lived for 5 decades +8 or as my best friend says 39+19. In retrospect I have done so many things in my short life here and I am hoping to find at least another 3 decades in my life barrel.
The most notable change has been that during my recovery I seemed to have lost some of my hair so I now sport a very short curly cut that has the appearance of lots of silvery strands running through it. Okay, so there are more silver then brown but remember, "just because there is snow on the roof doesn't mean the fire is out".
I have had some interesting encounters during my time resting with my feet up, eating things that will surely put pounds on my 5'7" frame. It already as to lug around about 170 lbs so what's a few more (tisk, tisk, it's too much).
I have watched the debates and CNN to excess. I wondered one morning why there was a grape stuck to the TV and remembered that I threw it hoping to pop someone in the head the night before. Traveling back to revisit times gone by can be thought provoking and sometimes painful with lots of sprinkles of joy and laughter mixed in. I am ready to get back to doing the things I love. Enjoying my friends and family, taking pictures and capturing those moments that will surely embarrash the grandchildren, neices and nephews in my family while eliciting ooo's and ahhh's.
It's good to be back.. so look out for my next round of digital creations.
Peace is on my mind. Proud Army Mom
